Galatasaray linked with surprise move for Emil Krafth
Galatasaray could solve their issues at right-back this winter as they eye up a move for Emil Krafth.
According to the football transfer rumours in British and Turkish media, Galatasaray are set to loan Newcastle United right-back Emil Krafth.
The Sweden international joined Newcastle United from Amiens for a fee in the region of 5.4 million euros in August 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
The right-back has featured in 9 matches for Newcastle United this term in all competitions.
The 26-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Sweden.
Krafth has earned 24 senior caps for the Sweden national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.
The Turkish ginats are looking to sign a right-back and have identified the 26-year-old as potential transfer target.
Galatasaray are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
Emil Krafth is a skilled right-back who can make a difference at both ends of the pitch. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report,”Galatasaray are eyeing Newcastle United defender Emil Krafth. Krafth has intimated he is happy to stay with Newcastle this season. However, Takvim says Gala’s enquiry has turned his head. Gala coach Fatih Terim is looking for a new right-back and has been offered Krafth by scouts. The Turkish giants want to take Krafth on-loan for the rest of the season with a permanent option.”

Newcastle are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the right-back, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

A right-back of Krafth’s ceiling will be a massive addition to Galatasaray squad as he will not only improve the overall quality of Terim’s starting XI but also add some stability and variety to his defensive department.
