Fiorentina eyeing move for Milan left-back Luca Antonelli
AC Milan left-back Luca Antonelli is a target for Fiorentina in the summer transfer window.
The reports in Italy suggested that Fiorentina are eyeing move for AC Milan left-back Luca Antonelli.
The Italy international joined AC Milan from Genoa for a fee in the region of 4.5 million euros in July 2015. His contract expires in the summer of 2019.
The 31-year-old made 68 appearances across all competitions for AC Milan, scoring five goals and supplying five assists in return.
As a member of Italy national football team, Antonelli won 13 caps.
The left-back has just 16 months remaining on his contract and AC Milan may consider a deal to avoid losing him for nothing next summer.
The report details that Stefano Pioli feels his defense currently lacks some bite and that he could strengthen when the transfer window re-opens.
Fiorentina will be desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, ”Ricardo Rodríguez is finally showing signs of his best form within Gennaro Gattuso’s preferred 4-3-3 formation, and so the former Genoa man has struggled to secure a starting berth. Indeed, he has only been on the pitch for 543 minutes in all competitions. The 31-year-old is a concrete option for La Viola come the end of the campaign, as they look to add greater strength and depth to what is a very lean squad.”
A move away from AC Milan will not be only the best move for Luca Antonelli, but also for the club.
