Everton will look to sign Zeki Celik
It is an open secret that Everton need to sign a right-back.
According to the best online betting sites and football transfer rumours in British and Turkish media, Everton will look to sign Lille right-back Zeki Celik.
Lille spent 2.5 million euros to sign the Turkey international from İstanbulspor in the summer of 2018. The 23-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2023.
Celik has played 68 times for Lille since signing from İstanbulspor, scoring one goal and creating 8 assists in that time.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 23-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
Zeki Celik has represented Turkey at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 level, winning 34 caps, before making his senior international debut in June 2018. As a member of Turkey national football team, Celik won 14 caps and he scored two goals.
The Turkey international has impressed in Ligue 1 this season and is starting to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
Everton are looking to sign a right-back and have identified the 23-year-old as potential transfer target. The Turkey international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of defensive player Carlo Ancelotti wants to target in the summer transfer window.
The Toffees are desperate to make an impact in this transfer window.
There is no doubt that Zeki Celik will take Everton’s defense to a different level.
Lille are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the right-back, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are apparently trailing Everton in the pursuit of Lille right-back.

Everton could benefit by signing Celik as the right-back is one of the areas of concern for Carlo Ancelotti.
The 23-year-old Turkey international could be a very good squad player for Carlo Ancelotti over the next few years. He is at the peak of his career right now and Ancelotti could bring out the best in him.
