Everton will look to sign Palmeiras young forward Giovani

Giovani’s time at Palmeiras could soon end as a whole host of clubs are lining up to sign him.

It’s claimed by Brazilian media that Everton will look to sign Palmeiras forward Giovani.

The 19-year-old forward has played all his life at Palmeiras. He has made his way through the youth system at the Brazilian club. His contract at Palmeiras is set to expire at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

The forward has registered one goal and two assists in 10 matches this season on all fronts.

The 19-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Brazil.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Everton.

The Toffees are looking to sign a forward and have identified the 19-year-old as potential transfer target.

Sean Dyche sees Giovani as the perfect addition to his attack.

The 19-year-old is a dynamic forward, who possesses good technical skills and ball control. He will add a new dimension to Everton’s attack.

According to the report, “Everton have joined Newcastle in considering a move for highly-rated 19-year-old Brazilian striker Giovani. A report from ESPN Brasil claims that both Premier League clubs are monitoring the young forward’s situation at his current club Palmeiras. The same outlet had already reported Newcastle’s interest in the player, claiming the Magpies had sent scouts to Brazil to watch him in action. Now they claim that Sean Dyche’s men can be added to that mix ahead of a potential summer bid. Nottingham Forest actually tried and failed with an offer of their own in January and it appears they are no longer in the running for his signature. ESPN Brasil adds that it will take at least €15m (£13.2m) to convince the South American side to sell.”

The Brazilian giants are reluctant to let Giovani go, but a big enough bid could persuade them to sell.

Everton have to fork out a huge transfer fee if they are genuinely interested in the Brazil international.

Good signing for Everton?

Nevertheless, Giovani stands as an excellent option for Everton.

It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.

Of course, the 19-year-old is not going to become a regular for Everton straightaway, but working under Sean Dyche would make him a better player.

How strong that interest is and whether Everton will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
