Everton will look to sign Milan striker Andre Silva

Everton are discussing a move to sign Andre Silva in the coming window.

It’s claimed by Italian media that Everton will look to sign AC Milan striker Andre Silva.

The Portugal international joined AC Milan from Porto for a fee in the region of 38 million euros in July 2017. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.

Andre Silva has played 23 times for AC Milan since signing from Porto, scoring eight goals and creating two assists.

The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best young strikers in Portugal.

Andre Silva has represented Portugal at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 70 caps and scoring 31 goals, before making his senior international debut in September 2016. As a member of Portugal national football team, Andre Silva won 18 caps and he scored 11 goals.

Sam Allardyce wants to sign a new striker and Andre Silva is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

The Everton manager is a long term admirer of Silva and believes he can get the most out of the Portugal international.

Everton will be desperate to make an impact in winter transfer window.

According to the report, Everton have shown tangible interest in signing Andre Silva, but AC Milan won’t accept a dime less than the 38 million euros they paid in summer for the ex-Porto man, who has turned out to be a flop so far. Though he has been prolific for his country and in European competitions, Silva’s time in Milan could be coming to a close, especially if the Rossoneri really can’t refinance their debt. They also have Financial Fair Play considerations. Super Agent Jorge Mendes is set to travel to Milan in the coming days in order to discuss things with the AC Milan.

Will Andre Silva be a Everton player soon? Only time will tell.

A move away from AC Milan is not only the best move for Andre Silva, but also for the club.
