The 20-year-old is a very comfortable defender and has qualities which would improve the Everton’s backline.

According to the report, “Manchester City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis is a target for Everton boss Frank Lampard. Harwood-Bellis is currently on-loan with Burnley. The Sun says Lampard wants a new centre-half and his spies are now camped out at Burnley to compile a file on the classy young defender. Harwood-Bellis has looked a cut above the Championship and his passing range fits with top-flight football. The local lad and City fan has never shown a sign of wanting to leave Pep Guardiola’s squad but that may change after the arrival of Manuel Akanji.”

It would take a huge offer from Everton to prise the 20-year-old centre-back from City.

The English giants are preparing to sell their centre-back should they receive a massive offer for him.

Good signing for Everton?

It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.

As for the player, Everton could be a great place for him to grow as a footballer. They will be able to provide him with regular first-team football and he will be coached by a very good manager like Frank Lampard.

How strong that interest is and whether Everton will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
