The attacking department of the Everton squad needs quality additions this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in French and British media, Everton are poised to land Saint-Étienne winger Denis Bouanga.
The Gabon international only joined Saint-Étienne from Nîmes in 2019 for 4.5 million euros and his contract runs to June 2023.
The winger has featured in 35 matches for Saint-Étienne this term, netting 12 goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 25-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
As a member of Gabon national football team, Bouanga won 11 caps and he scored 3 goals.
Bouanga is set to be a man in demand in the summer transfer window, with a host of clubs queueing up to pursue his signature.
Carlo Ancelotti is looking to shore up his attacking options and Saint-Étienne’s Denis Bouanga happens to be a target.
The Everton manager has been impressed by his performances this season and could make a move this summer.
Everton are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
The Gabon international would provide a good variety to Everton’s attack.
According to the report, “Everton have approached St Etienne for striker Denis Bouanga. Le 10 Sport says Everton have made an enquiry with Saint-Etienne for Bouanga. The attacker, who scored 12 times this season, is valued at €15m and claimed to be on the Blues’ radar. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are said to have made enquiries, but are not the only team listed as interested. French outfit Rennes and La Liga club Real Betis are also said to be monitoring the highly-rated Bouanga.”

Saint-Étienne are reluctant to let Bouanga go, but a big enough bid could persuade them to sell.
Good signing for Everton?
The 25-year-old would be a very good addition for Everton and they can afford him as well.
If he manages to fulfill his potential with them, the transfer would seem like a bargain in future.
How strong that interest is and whether Everton will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
