Everton make bid for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi

It’s been a transfer window full of surprises, and Everton could be set to carry on this trend.

Everton are keen on Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, according to the football transfer rumours in British Media (The Sun).

The Belgium international was signed by Chelsea in July 2016 from Marseille for a fee of 39 million euros. The 23-year-old has a valid contract with Chelsea until June 2021.

Since his arrival from Marseille, Batshuayi has scored 9 goals and provided 3 assists in 31 games for Chelsea.

Batshuayi is considered to be one of the best strikers in Belgium.

Michy Batshuayi has represented Belgium at Under-21 level, winning 13 caps and scoring 7 goals, before making his senior international debut in September 2012. As a member of Belgium national football team, Michy Batshuayi has won 10 caps and has scored 4 goals.

Adding a striker remains Everton’s top priority this summer and Ronald Koeman will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the last day of the summer transfer window.

Ronald Koeman is a long term admirer of Michy Batshuayi and believes he can get the most out of the 23-year-old.

Koeman has huge transfer kitty this summer and the Chelsea striker is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.
