Everton looking to loan Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot
Everton need to strengthen their midfield this winter.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Everton are looking to loan Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The 24-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The France international joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in July 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
Rabiot has played 12 times for Juventus since signing from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in France. As a member of France national football team, Rabiot won 6 caps.
Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign a new midfielder and Adrien Rabiot is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
Everton are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
Rabiot would provide a good variety to Everton’s midfield.
According to Calciomercato, “Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring Adrien Rabiot to Everton. For the January window, the former Napoli manager has made this request to the management. The English side are looking to add quality to the midfield, and the French midfielder has been identified as the right man. When he was the manager at PSG, Ancelotti handed Rabiot his debut in Ligue 1, teaching him a lot from a tactical point of view. However, as our reporter Daniele Longo states, Juve’s sporting director Fabio Paratici only intends to offload Emre Can and not Rabiot. The idea of Everton is to offer a very expensive loan with a buy-out clause, guaranteeing the remaining €3.5m in wages between now and June for Rabiot. Juventus, on the other hand, are not looking to change their mind and are moving ahead with the former PSG man. Then again, a lot will depend on the player’s will. Only this could change the scenario, although the deal seems very unlikely for now.”
