Everton join the hunt for Aston Villa centre-back Tyrone Mings

The defensive department of the Everton squad needs quality additions this summer.

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Everton have joined the hunt for Aston Villa centre-back Tyrone Mings.

The 27-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

Aston Villa spent 22.3 million euros to sign the England international from AFC Bournemouth in the summer of 2019. The 27-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2023.

The centre-back has banged in two goals and provided one assist in 33 matches for Aston Villa this term on all fronts.

The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best centre-backs in England. As a member of England national football team, Mings won two caps.

Tyrone Mings is set to be a man in demand in the summer transfer window, with a host of clubs queueing up to pursue his signature.

The 27-year-old is a long-term target of Everton and could be a decent addition for Ancelotti’s side.

The 27-year-old England international could be a very good squad player for Carlo Ancelotti over the next few years. He is at the peak of his career right now and Ancelotti could bring out the best in him.
