Everton in advanced talks to bring Paris Saint-Germain star Idrissa Gueye

Idrissa Gueye is getting closer to Everton day by day as transfer talk continues to intensify.

According to multiple reports emanating from England, Everton are in advanced talks to bring Paris Saint-Germain defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

PSG spent 30 million euros to sign the Senegal international from Everton in the summer of 2019. The 32-year-old has one year left on his current contract which expires in 2023.

In 111 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, Gueye has managed to score seven goals, and create six goals for his teammates.

The 32-year-old is considered to be one of the best defensive midfielders in Senegal. His record for Senegal is also impressive. Gueye has scored seven goals in 94 matches for Senegal at senior level.

The Senegal international is available for transfer, with Frank Lampard now keen to bring him to Everton. Lampard is eager to add a defensive midfielder to the squad. He wants an experienced player that can be a leader on and off the pitch for him.

Now, Everton may want the midfielder back, but it will be interesting to see if the Senegalese himself wants to return to Goodison Park.”
