The attacking department of the Everton squad needs quality additions this summer.
According to multiple reports emanating from England, Everton are considering a move for Marseille forward Bamba Dieng.
The Senegal international joined Marseille from Diambars for a fee in the region of 400,000 euros in July 2021. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The forward finished the 2021/22 season with a tally of 8 goals and 3 assists from 36 matches across all competitions.
He has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Senegal. Dieng has also left his mark at the international stage after netting one goal in 11 senior appearances for the Senegal national team.
The Senegal international is believed to be available for transfer, with Frank Lampard now keen to bring him to Everton.
The Toffees are looking to sign a forward and have identified the 22-year-old as potential transfer target.
Everton are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
The former Diambars man is a dynamic forward, who possesses good technical skills and ball control.
According to the report, “Everton are considering Marseille forward Bamba Dieng. Frank Lampard’s side have reportedly been offered Dieng. The Ligue 1 side are believed to be looking to move the youngster on this summer. The Senegalese player has been frozen out by new manager Igor Tudor and would welcome the change. Marseille are holding out for a figure of €15m to secure the player’s services.”

Considering they don’t have a big budget, Everton will have to be smart with the signings in the transfer window.
If Everton can agree on a fee with Marseille, the deal should be easy to complete.

Bamba Dieng has all the skillset required to be a success story at Everton. Therefore, it makes sense for Frank Lampard to step up his attempts to bring the Senegal forward to Premier League side.
