Everton chasing Southampton superstar
According to the football transfer rumours in English Media, Everton are chasing Southampton superstar Virgil van Dijk.
In 2015, when Ronald Koeman was a manager at Southampton, Van Dijk has signed a five-year contract with the Saints from Celtic for a reported 15.6 million euros transfer fee.
Since his arrival from Celtic, van Dijk has scored 6 goals in 64 games for Southampton, including three goals in 26 games in all competition this season.
The Holland International has been a long term target of Ronald Koeman as the manager looks to bolster his defensive options due to poor form of Everton defender Phil Jagielka.
Euro Football Rumours are informed that Everton manager Ronald Koeman is prepared to offer in a region of 58 million euros for Southampton defender.
