Crystal Palace and Swansea City tipped to sign Everton forward Arouna Kone
According to the football transfer rumours in English Media, Crystal Palace and Swansea City are tipped to sign Everton forward Arouna Kone.
Arouna Kone has joined Everton from Wigan for a fee in the region of 7 million euros in 2013. The Ivory Coast international was signed by his former Wigan manager Roberto Martinez. The 33 year-old has a valid contract with Everton until the end of the season.
Since his arrival from Wigan, he has a many injury problems, but Arouna Kone has scored ten goals and provided three assists in 59 games for Everton, including two goals in 6 games in all competition this season.
Everton are keen to get Kone off their books as they make way for the signing of new winger and defender.
The Ivory Coast international is a player who has impressed many Premier Clubs in the last few seasons, and it is understood that Swansea City manager Paul Clement would prefer playing him as a forward.
Arouna Kone has been also a target of Sam Allardyce as the manager looks to bolster his attacking options for the second part of the season.
How strong that interest is and whether Crystal Palace or Swansea City will make a January move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
