Crystal Palace keen on Napoli left-back Ivan Strinic

left-back Ivan Strinic has emerged as a surprise target for Crystal Palace ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Croatian Media, Crystal Palace are keen on Napoli left-back Ivan Strinic.

Ivan Strinic has joined Napoli from Dnipro on a free transfer in 2015. The 29 year-old has a valid contract with Napoli until June 2019.

After his arrival from Dnipro, Ivan Strinic has provided four assists in 35 games for Napoli, including two assists in 11 games in all competitions this season.

The 29-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in Croatia.

Ivan Strinic has represented Croatia at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 22 caps and scoring one goal. Since May 2010, Strinic is a member of Croatia national football team, winning 39 caps.

The Croatia international is a player who has impressed many European Clubs in the last few seasons, and it is understood that Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce would prefer playing him as a left-back. Strinic would be perfect competition for Jeffrey Schlupp and Patrick Van Aanholt next season.

How strong that interest is and whether Crystal Palace will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
