The midfield department of the Chelsea squad needs quality additions this winter.
According to multiple reports emanating from England, Chelsea have submitted bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma.
The Mali international only joined Tottenham from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022 for 29.2 million euros and his contract runs to June 2026.
The midfielder has made 22 appearances for Tottenham but is yet to score or register an assist for them this season across all fronts.
He is considered to be one of the best football players in Mali. Bissouma has left his mark at the international stage after netting 3 goals in 27 senior appearances for the Mali national team.
Yves Bissouma has been identified as one of the key targets to improve the midfield department. Graham Potter is a firm fan of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and Chelsea could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion man will offer the Chelsea boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.
According to the report, “Chelsea have made an offer for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma. Chelsea approached Tottenham about signing the midfielder and were willing to include Hakim Ziyech in a deal, says the Telegraph.”
