Chicharito has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea ahead of the winter transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in German Media, Chelsea are reported leading the chase for Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez.
Chicharito signed a three-year contract with Bayer Leverkusen from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee, reportedly in a region of 8.5 million euros.
Since his arrival from Manchester United, Mexico international has scored 33 goals and provided seven assists in 63 games for Bayer Leverkusen, including seven goals and two assists in 23 games in all competition this season.
Chelsea have been closing in on a deal to sign Javier Hernandez in recent weeks and German Media suggests that he could cost as much as 40 million euros.
Euro Football Rumours were informed that Bayer Leverkusen could be ready to accept an offer in a region 40 million euros.
How strong that interest is and whether Chelsea will make a January move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
