Chelsea make bid for Inter winger Antonio Candreva
Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media (Football Italia), Chelsea make 18 million euros bid for Inter winger Antonio Candreva.
The Italy international has joined Inter Milan from Lazio for a fee in the region of 23 million euros in August 2016. The 30-year-old has a valid contract with Inter Milan until June 2020.
Since his arrival from Lazio, Antonio Candreva has scored 8 goals and provided 11 assists in 45 games for Inter Milan in all competitions last season.
Antonio Candreva has represented Italy at Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 36 caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in November 2009. As a member of Italy national football team, Antonio Candreva has won 47 caps and has scored 6 goals.
Adding a winger remains Chelsea’s top priority this summer and Antonio Conte will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming days.
Antonio Conte is a long term admirer of Antonio Candreva and believes he can get the most out of the Italy international.

According to the report in Italian Media, Chelsea and Inter Milan have been unable to agree a fee for Antonio Candreva, with Inter wanting to hold out for 25 million euros but Chelsea’s board arguing that this is an unrealistic fee offering only 18 million euros.
How strong that interest is and whether Chelsea will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
