According to the football transfer rumours in German media, Chelsea are linked with surprise move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The 29-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
His contract at Tottenham is set to expire at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
The striker finished the 2021/22 season with a tally of 27 goals and 10 assists from 50 matches across all competitions.
The 29-year-old is considered to be the best striker in England. His record for England is also impressive. Kane has scored 50 goals in 73 matches for England at senior level.
His impressive performances last few seasons have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
Thomas Tuchel is eager to add a striker to the squad. He wants an experienced player that can be a leader on and off the pitch for him.
The England international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of striker Tuchel wants to target in the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old is a traditional number nine, having all types of finishes in his locker. His finishing abilities when in and around the box will come as a massive asset to Tuchel’s side.
According to the report, “Chelsea are planning a bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane. BILD’s football chief Christian Falk is reporting Chelsea would love to bring their rivals’ talisman to Stamford Bridge. Although they recognise that Spurs would rather sell to Bayern Munich, if Kane was to make to it clear that he won’t pen a new deal. The striker is happy again at Spurs, however, and is enjoying working under Antonio Conte. But he is yet to be offered a contract extension, with his current deal having two years remaining. Chelsea face going into the season with Kai Havertz as their first choice forward after the departure of Romelu Lukaku. Having signed winger Raheem Sterling for £47.5million from Manchester City, the Blues have switched their attention to strengthening their defence.”

The Spurs would be wise to keep the England international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.
Harry Kane ideal fit for Chelsea?
Signing the 29-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Tuchel.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Chelsea.
How strong that interest is and whether Chelsea will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
