The latest reports in England suggest that Chelsea are linked with shock Isco move.

The 27-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

The Spain international joined Real Madrid from Málaga for a fee in the region of 30 million euros in July 2013. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.

Isco made 293 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring 49 goals and supplying 52 assists in return.

As a member of Spain national football team, Isco won 38 caps and he scored 12 goals.

Frank Lampard wants to sign a new midfielder and Isco is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. Lampard is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.

There is no doubt that Isco will take Chelsea’s midfield to a different level.

According to the report, “Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is eyeing Real Madrid midfielder Isco this month. The Daily Star says Lampard is believed to be keen on bringing in Isco who has had an up and down career at the Bernabeu. He has never been able to consistently deliver on the pitch with high expectations on his shoulders. Isco has been used little by coach Zinedine Zidane this season and is reported in the Spanish press that Chelsea have offered £45million to entice him away. While Chelsea is keen, Zidane has used Isco more in the past month and it will not be easy to prise him away.”

Chelsea will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Isco to join the club.

Signing the 27-year-old in the winter transfer window would be a masterstroke from Lampard.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Chelsea.
