The latest reports in England suggest that Chelsea are linked with fresh move for Sasa Kalajdzic.
The Austria international was signed by Stuttgart in July 2019 from Admira Wacker for a fee of 1.75 million euros. The 24-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
The striker has banged in 17 goals and provided 6 assists in 36 matches for Stuttgart last term on all fronts.
The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Austria. Kalajdzic has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 4 goals in 11 senior appearances for the Austria national team.
His impressive performances last season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
The Blues have earmarked Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic as their target, with Thomas Tuchel being a ‘huge admirer’ of the player.
Sasa Kalajdzic is a traditional number nine, having all types of finishes in his locker.
According to the report, “Chelsea are eyeing VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic. The Athletic says the striker, standing at six foot seven inches, is a name that’s on Thomas Tuchel’s radar after an impressive Euro 2020 competition for Austria. Stuttgart, who haven’t been approached by Chelsea yet, have fielded enquiries from Premier League clubs since the end of last season. Tottenham and West Ham United are keen. However, VfB are under no pressure to sell as they have already raised £34m in sales this summer.”
