Chelsea enter talks with Porto for Pepe
The Blues reportedly want to add more quality on the flanks.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Chelsea have entered talks with Porto for Pepe.
Porto spent 15 million euros to sign the Brazil international from Grêmio in the summer of 2021. He has four years left on his current contract which expires in 2026.
The winger finished the 2021/22 season with a tally of 6 goals and 6 assists from 42 matches across all competitions.
The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Brazil. Pepe has represented Brazil at Under-23 level, winning six caps and scoring three goals.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel wants to sign a new winger and Pepe is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The report claims that Chelsea manager has extensively scouted Pepe and is considering a move for the winger.
Chelsea are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
The former Grêmio man will offer the Chelsea boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.

Chelsea have joined Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder. Chelsea will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Porto to the negotiating table. They have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.

If Chelsea and Tuchel are seriously considering a winger, Pepe could also prove to be a smart option.
Pepe has all the skillset required to be a success story at Chelsea. Therefore, it makes sense for Thomas Tuchel to step up his attempts to bring the Brazil winger to Premier League side.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Chelsea.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are willing to pay the asking price for Pepe.
