Aleix Vidal is a target for Celta Vigo in the summer transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media, Celta Vigo are set to sign Sevilla wing-back Aleix Vidal.
The 29-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2022.
Vidal made 68 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla, scoring 6 goals and supplying 14 assists in return.
The Spain international is believed to be available for transfer, with Fran Escribá now keen to bring him to Celta Vigo. Escribá is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
According to Football Espana (via Diario AS), “Celta Vigo are likely to land Sevilla wing-back Aleix Vidal this summer in a cut-price deal. The Galician side will be able to sign the player outright in a €5m deal or make a season-long loan move for the out of favour 29-year-old. Vidal returned to Sevilla from Barcelona last summer in a €8.5m deal but started just five matches in La Liga and now appears to form part of the mass exodus from the Andalusian club this summer. Three years ago, the former Almeria player joined the Blaugrana in a €15m deal from Sevilla but struggled to win regular game-time at the Camp Nou. The versatile player is said to be extremely keen on the move as it would appear to offer him a greater chance of first team football ahead of the new campaign. However, Sevilla are said to prefer a temporary exit as they believe this could facilitate a rise in his market price for next year, when a permanent deal could be done.”

If Celta are genuinely interested, a deal would not be impossible to complete.
Undoubtedly he would be a fantastic recruit for Celta Vigo.
How strong that interest is and whether Celta will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
