The left-back can also play as a full-back, offering Potter a different option should he change his formation at Brighton. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.

According to the report, “Brighton are interested in signing Alfonso Pedraza from Villarreal. The Spanish club want to raise funds this summer so they can make investments for new boss Unai Emery. And Super Deporte claims Pedraza is a player they may be willing to put up for sale. The price tag suggested for the 24-year-old left back is £7.2 million. Brighton have the biggest interest in the Andalusian, who has played in England before. He was a Leeds United loanee, and spent last season on loan at Real Betis.
