The defensive department of the Bournemouth squad needs quality additions this winter.

The latest reports in England suggest that Bournemouth have joined the hunt for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose.

The 29-year-old has been subject to interest from various Premier League clubs.

Howe is a long term admirer of Rose and believes he can get the most out of the England international.

Bournemouth are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

Danny Rose would provide a good variety to Bournemouth’s defense.

According to the report, “Bournemouth have jumped into the battle for Tottenham fullback Danny Rose. The Mirror says the south coast side are targeting end-of-window signings as they bid to build on their win over Brighton on Tuesday night. Watford and Newcastle are already in the hunt for Rose with the England left-back having lost his place under Jose Mourinho. Last summer that the Hornets had had a bid for Rose rejected. At the time the Hertfordshire club were the only one to come in for him but they are now among several interested. Newcastle are also keen after the 29-year-old was left out of the squad for a third consecutive match, Wednesday night’s 2-1 win over Norwich.”

A move away from Tottenham will not be only the best move for Rose, but also for the club.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Bournemouth.
