According to the football transfer rumours in German Media (Spox), Borussia Dortmund are set to sign Freiburg striker Maximilian Philipp.
The Germany international was signed by Freiburg in January 2013 from Energie Cottbus on a free transfer. The 23-year-old has a valid contract with Freiburg until June 2019.
Since his arrival from Energie Cottbus, Maximilian Philipp has scored 18 goals and provided 23 assists in 88 games for Freiburg, including nine goals and provided five assists in 27 games in all competitions this season.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Germany.
The Germany international has been in outstanding form for Freiburg this season.
Maximilian Philipp has represented Germany at Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning nine caps.
