Borussia Dortmund are showing strong interest in Mario Mandzukic.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Borussia Dortmund are linked with surprise move for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.
Juventus spent 21 million euros to sign the Croatia international from Atlético Madrid in the summer of 2015. The 33-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2021.
The 33-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Croatia. As a member of Croatia national football team, Mandzukic won 89 caps and he scored 33 goals.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Borussia Dortmund.
Adding a striker remains Borussia Dortmund’s top priority this summer and Lucien Favre will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.
Favre is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
BVB are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
Mario Mandzukic has the talent to play many roles in attack.
