Duvan Zapata has emerged as a surprise target for Borussia Dortmund in the winter transfer window.
Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for Duvan Zapata, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian media.
The Colombia international joined Napoli from Estudiantes for a fee in the region of 7.5 million euros in July 2013. In August 2017, Zapata was sent to Sampdoria on a season-long loan.
Duvan Zapata made 16 appearances across all competitions for Sampdoria, scoring six goals and supplying five assists in return.
The 26-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Colombia.
The Colombia international has been in outstanding form this season.
Duvan Zapata has represented Colombia at Under-20 level, winning five caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in March 2017. As a member of Colombia national football team, Zapata won one cap.

According to the report, Borussia Dortmund are considering Sampdoria striker Duvan Zapata as a replacement for Arsenal-bound Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. If Aubameyang is sold, then Duvan Zapata is one of the prime candidates and initial talks have already begun via intermediaries. Borussia Dortmund had already been linked with the Colombia international in 2013 and he has since played for Napoli, Udinese and Sampdoria.
