Bordeaux submit bid for PSV Eindhoven striker Luuk de Jong
Bordeaux appear to have a genuine interest in signing PSV Eindhoven striker Luuk de Jong this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in Dutch Media (Football Oranje), Bordeaux have submited bid for PSV Eindhoven striker Luuk de Jong.
The Netherlands international has joined PSV Eindhoven from Borussia Mönchengladbach for a fee in the region of 5.8 million euros in July 2014. The 26-year-old has a valid contract with PSV Eindhoven until June 2020.
Since his arrival from Borussia Mönchengladbach, Luuk de Jong has scored 67 goals and provided 36 assists in 131 games for PSV Eindhoven.
The Netherlands international has been in impressive form for PSV Eindhoven last season.
Luuk de Jong has represented Netherlands at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 22 caps and scoring 6 goals, before making his senior international debut in February 2011. As a member of Netherlands national football team, Luuk de Jong has won 12 caps and has scored 3 goals.
Jocelyn Gourvennec wants to sign a new striker this summer and Luuk de Jong is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
The report claims that Bordeaux manager has extensively scouted Luuk de Jong and is considering a move for the striker.
Luuk de Jong has been long term target of Jocelyn Gourvennec as the manager look to bolster his attacking options for the next season.

Bordeaux are in the market for just a handful of statement signings this summer who can improve the first-team.
According to the report in Dutch Media, Bordeaux have made a 6 million euros offer for PSV Eindhoven striker Luuk de Jong. The bid submitted is believed to be around 2 million euros short of PSV’s asking price.
How strong that interest is and whether Bordeaux will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
