Bayern Munich willing to make 70 million euros offer for Federico Chiesa

Bayern Munich are reportedly one of many clubs keeping tabs on Italy international Federico Chiesa.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Bayern Munich are willing to make 70 million euros offer for Federico Chiesa.

The 21-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2022.

Chiesa made 107 appearances across all competitions for Fiorentina, scoring 22 goals and supplying 20 assists in return.

The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Italy.

As a member of Italy national football team, Chiesa won 11 caps.

His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.

Niko Kovač has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe. He is a long term admirer of Federico Chiesa and believes he can get the most out of the Italy international.

Bayern Munich are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.

According to Calciomercato, “Federico Chiesa is one of the most wanted Italian talents in Serie A at the moment. The young Italian winger currently plays for Florence-based side Fiorentina but is a reported target of the likes of Napoli, Juventus, Inter Milan and Chelsea. However, according to what has been reported by Italian newspaper the Corriere dello Sport, Bayern Munich are also keen on signing Chiesa and, as per the reports, are ready to offer €70m to secure the Fiorentina player’s services.”

Fiorentina are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the winger, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Signing the 21-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Niko Kovač.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Bayern.

How strong that interest is and whether Bayern will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
