Bayern linked with surprise move for Inter right wing-back Achraf Hakimi

When Bayern set their eyes on a player, more often than not, they force their way into getting him. This time they have set their sights on Achraf Hakimi, and the club are working hard to cut a deal with Inter for the right wing-back.

The reports in England and Italy suggested that Bayern Munich linked with surprise move for Inter Milan star Achraf Hakimi.

The 22-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

The Morocco international joined Inter Milan from Real Madrid for a fee in the region of 45 million euros in September 2020. The 22-year-old’s contract at Inter Milan is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

In 41 appearances for Inter, Hakimi has managed to score 7 goals, and create 8 goals for his teammates.

The 22-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Morocco.

Achraf Hakimi has also left his mark at the international stage after netting two goals in 31 senior appearances for the Morocco national team.

The Morocco international has been in impressive form for Inter this season and it looks like he caught the eye of many European clubs including Bayern Munich.

New Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann wants to sign a new right wing-back and Hakimi is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

This approach of signing exciting talent from different parts of the globe can reap rewards for Bayern in the future.

Nagelsmann is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.

The German giants are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

Hakimi is a skilled right wing-back who can make a difference at both ends of the pitch. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.

According to the report, “Bayern Munich could thwart Arsenal’s plans for Achraf Hakimi. New Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann is drawing up a list of transfer targets for the summer. And the Daily Express says Hakimi is high up on his wish-list. The 22-year-old is currently enjoying life with Inter Milan, having just won the Serie A title with the Nerazzurri. It is believed Inter would be reluctant to sell Hakimi. The news comes as a blow to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who has identified the Morocco international as a replacement for Hector Bellerin. Whilst the Gunners are expected to spend this summer, it is hard to envisage a situation where they would outbid Bayern to sign Hakimi.”

Bayern Munich will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Inter to the negotiating table. The German giants have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.

Inter are preparing to sell their right wing-back should they receive a massive offer for him.

Achraf Hakimi ideal fit for Bayern Munich?

It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.

Signing the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Nagelsmann.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Munich.

Bayern fans would certainly love to see him arrive at the club.

It will be interesting to see whether Bayern will make their move during the summer transfer window.
