The latest reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona are preparing move for Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal.
The Spain international was signed by Arsenal in January 2013 from Málaga for a fee of 10 million euros. The 33-year-old has a contract until June 2019 with the club.
In total, he has scored 10 goals and supplied 18 assists from 234 Arsenal matches.
Nacho Monreal is out of the picture at Arsenal, which has opened the door for a potential exit.
Ernesto Valverde is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
According to Football Espana, “Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal as a back-up to Jordi Alba, according to reports. The Mirror report that the full-back, who has been capped 22 times for the Spanish national team, would be brought in to deputise for Alba – who recently penned a new long-term contract at the Camp Nou. Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis, also out of contract in June, has been linked with a summer switch to the Blaugrana.”

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Barcelona.
