The fullback’s contract at Real Madrid is about to expire and a number of clubs are said to be monitoring his situation, with Barcelona showing the most concrete interest in an attempt to lure the player to their team.

According to the report in British Media, Barcelona have been in contact with the view to taking Hakimi away from Madrid in a Bosman move next year. Real Madrid management are aware of Barcelona’s approach and have moved to open new contract talks with the defender. Real Madrid are offering Hakimi a three-year contract extension to 2021 and are pushing him to sign it before Christmas.
