Barcelona keen on Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes

According to multiple reports emanating from England, Barcelona are keen on Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Brazil international joined Arsenal from Lille for a fee in the region of 26 million euros in September 2020. His contract expires in the summer of 2025.

The centre-back has featured in 31 matches this term, netting three goals in all competitions.

He is considered to be one of the best centre-backs in Brazil. Magalhaes has represented Brazil at Under-20 and Under-23 level, winning seven caps.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Barcelona.

The Spanish giants are looking to sign a centre-back and have identified the 24-year-old as potential transfer target.

The report claims that Barcelona manager has extensively scouted Magalhaes and is considering a move for the centre-back.

A centre-back of Gabriel Magalhaes’s ceiling will be a massive addition to Barcelona squad as he will not only improve the overall quality of Xavi’s starting XI but also add some stability and variety to his defensive department.
