Over the past couple of weeks, there has been intense speculation over the future of Diogo Dalot at Manchester United.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Barcelona have joined the hunt for Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot.
The Portugal international joined Manchester United from Porto for a fee in the region of 22 million euros in July 2018. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
Dalot has played 33 times for Manchester United since signing from Porto, scoring one goal and creating 3 assists in that time.
The Portugal international is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Manchester United this summer and the list of suitors in the Portugal international continues to grow.
Quique Setién is looking to shore up his defensive options and Manchester United’s Dalot happens to be a target.
Barcelona are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
Dalot would provide a good variety to Barcelona’s defense.
According to the report, “Barcelona have jumped into the battle for Manchester United fullback Diogo Dalot. Sport says Barcelona are about to enter the race after receiving “excellent reports” about the defender. The Portuguese right-back is fighting for his future at Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferring Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the position. And PSG have already expressed their interest in the 21-year-old, tabling a £30m fee. Barca went to Dalot’s former employers Porto, who were full of praise for the full back. They would not be flashing the cash, though, with the report simply suggesting the fee “should not be too high”.”

It would take a huge offer from Barcelona to prise the 21-year-old right-back from Manchester.
A move away from Manchester United will not be only the best move for Dalot, but also for the club.
The 21-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Barcelona squad and would be a good buy in the summer transfer window.
It will be interesting to see what happens when Barcelona come calling for Dalot.
