Atletico Madrid preparing move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic
There has been numerous defenders linked with Atletico Madrid in past few months.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Atletico Madrid are preparing move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
The Serbia international joined Fiorentina from Partizan for a fee in the region of 5.1 million euros in July 2017. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.
Milenkovic has played 53 times for Fiorentina since signing from Partizan, scoring 3 goals.
The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Serbia.
As a member of Serbia national football team, Nikola Milenkovic won 12 caps.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Atletico Madrid.
Diego Simeone has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe.
Milenkovic has been long term target of Simeone as the manager look to bolster his defensive options for the next season.
According to Calciomercato, “Atletico Madrid are preparing for life post-Godin after the defender announced he would be leaving at the end of the season and is now set to join Inter on a free. According to SportMediaset, the Spanish club has set their sights on Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina who is also followed by Juventus. The 21 year old Serbian joined Fiorentina in 2017 and is valued at around 32 million, according to Transfermarkt, however, it is not yet known if Fiorentina will sell the player.”
