As per Spanish media, Atletico Madrid are linked with fresh move for Denis Zakaria.
The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Borussia Monchengladbach spent 12 million euros to sign the Switzerland international from Young Boys in the summer of 2017. The 23-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2022.
The midfielder has banged in two goals and provided two assists in 31 matches for Borussia this term on all fronts.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Switzerland. As a member of Switzerland national football team, Zakaria won 28 caps and he scored three goals.
Denis Zakaria has been in impressive form for Borussia Monchengladbach this season and it looks like he caught the eye of many European clubs including Atletico.

Ghanaian schemer Partey is rumoured to be on the radar of Premier League pair Manchester United and Arsenal, with both clubs willing to pay his €50m release clause. According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Simeone has lined up Zakaria as an ideal replacement in defensive midfield, with talks already underway with the player’s representative. Borussia Monchengladbach have also opened contract talks with the 23-year old, with his current deal set to expire in 2022. Zakaria is rumoured to be willing to leave Germany to challenge himself in another European league, with a €30m bid likely to be enough to secure a deal, if he rejects Monchengladbach’s offer in the coming weeks.”
