Atletico Madrid join the hunt for Palermo forward Ilija Nestorovski

According to the football transfer rumours in Macedonian and Croatian Media, Atletico Madrid join the hunt for Palermo forward Ilija Nestorovski.

Ilija Nestorovski has joined Palermo from Inter Zaprešić for a fee in the region of 500,000 euros in August 2016. The 26 year-old has a valid contract with Palermo until the June 2019.

Since his arrival from Inter Zaprešić, Ilija Nestorovski has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 24 games for Palermo.

Nestorovski has also represented Macedonia at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 22 caps across all age groups and scoring six goals. As a member of Macedonian national team, Nestorovski won 11 caps and has scored three goals.

The 26-year-old is considered to be the best Macodonian player at the moment. The Macodonian international has been in fantastic form for Palermo this season.

Ilija Nestorovski has been target of Diego Simeone as the manager look to bolster his attacking options for the next season.

According to the Macedonian and Croatian Media, Palermo valuate the Macedonia international in the region of 20 million euros.

How strong that interest is and whether Atletico Madrid will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
