AS Roma will look to sign Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nández
Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nández is a target for Roma in the winter transfer window.
According to a report from Calciomercato, AS Roma will look to sign Nahitan Nández.
The Uruguay international only joined Cagliari from Boca Juniors in 2019 for 18 million euros and his contract runs to June 2024.
Nández made 17 appearances across all competitions for Cagliari, scoring one goal and supplying 3 assists in return.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Uruguay.
Nahitan Nández has represented Uruguay at Under-20 level, winning 18 caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in September 2015. As a member of Uruguay national football team, Nández won 31 caps.
The Uruguay international has impressed in Serie A this season and is starting to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
Paulo Fonseca is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
Nández has the talent to play many roles in midfield.
According to Calciomercato, “Italian Serie A giants AS Roma are interested in signing league rivals Cagliari’s midfielder Nahitan Nández in the January transfer window. As per the latest development, the Rome-based club’s hierarchy are impressed with Nández and are looking to make a move for him in the mid-season transfer window. The deal can go through as Cagliari are also interested in signing number of players from Roma including Alessandro Florenzi.”
