There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Wissam Ben Yedder in the last period.
AS Monaco will look to sign Sevilla star Wissam Ben Yedder, according to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media.
The 29-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Sevilla spent 9.5 million euros to sign the France international from Toulouse in the summer of 2016. The 29-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2021.
Ben Yedder made 138 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla, scoring 70 goals and supplying 22 assists in return.
The 29-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in France. As a member of France national football team, Ben Yedder won 4 caps and he scored one goal.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including AS Monaco.
Leonardo Jardim is keen to secure at least one more signing this summer, and Ben Yedder could very well be a man under consideration.
The France international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of striker Jardim wants to target in the summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker.
According to Football Espana, “AS Monaco are set to launch a bid to bring Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder back to Ligue 1. The French international played for Toulouse between 2010 and 2016, before moving to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan ahead of the 2016-17 La Liga campaign. He has been key for Sevilla, with 38 goals La Liga goals in 98 appearances, however according to reports in Estadio Deportivo he has been told his first team opportunities if Julen Lopetegui brings in more players. The former Spanish boss has already signed Luuk De Jong and Munas Dabbur, and he is still reported to be interested in PSV forward Steven Bergwijn, with the Dutch side holding out for €45m. AS Monaco will initially offer €20m, plus Portuguese international Rony Lopes, with the potential for a higher cash offer, if Sevilla are willing to negotiate a deal for the 28-year old.”
