The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Turkey. As a member of Turkey national football team, Muldur won 10 caps.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new right-back and Muldur is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe.

The Gunners are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.

Muldur has been a good servant for Sassuolo, and is a right-back who places himself in the right positions in defensive situations.

According to the report, “Arsenal are moving for Sassuolo ace Mert Muldur. The Athletic reports Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has been keeping a close watch on Muldur following an impressive Serie A campaign. The north Londoners are likely to lose Bellerin in the summer as the right-back is looking for a new challenge. The Spain international has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, who are looking for someone to fill in for Paris Saint Germain-bound Achraf Hakimi. Therefore, if the 26-year-old puts an end to his eight-year stint at the Emirates then Arsenal will need a replacement. And Muldur appears to be among Arteta’s top choices to reinforce his full-back options.”

Sassuolo are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the right-back, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

The Gunners will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Muldur to join the club.

Mert Muldur ideal fit for Arsenal?

Undoubtedly he would be a fantastic recruit for Arsenal.

Mert Muldur has all the skillset required to be a success story at Arsenal. Therefore, it makes sense for Arteta to step up his attempts to bring the Turkey right-back to Premier League side.

It will be interesting to see if Arsenal make their move for the 22-year-old in the coming weeks.
