Arsenal are preparing move for Boca Juniors striker Cristian Pavon, according to the football transfer rumours in British media.
The Argentina international was signed by Boca Juniors in July 2014 from Talleres de Cordoba for a fee of 1.3 million euros. The 21-year-old has a contract until 2022 with the club.
Since his arrival from Talleres de Cordoba, Pavon has scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists in 60 games for Boca Juniors, including three goals and six assists in 12 games in all competitions this season.
The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Argentina.
Cristian Pavon has represented Argentina at Under-17 and Under-20 level, winning 14 caps and scoring 9 goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2017. As a member of Argentina national football team, Cristian Pavon won two caps.
Adding a striker remains Arsenal’s top priority this winter and Arsene Wenger will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming days.

According to the report, Arsenal have been linked with a move for Boca Juniors striker Cristian Pavon as they prepare to replace wantaway Alexis Sanchez. Pavon has a 30 million euros release clause in his deal at Boca and Arsene Wenger is willing to meet it. He has recently been finalising his dual citizenship in Italy, which means his European passport will allay any work permit fears.
The 21-year-old would be a very good addition for Arsenal and they can afford him as well.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Arsenal.
How strong that interest is and whether Arsenal will make a winter move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
