Arsenal open talks for Abdallah Sima
The summer transfer window is still a three months away from officially opening up. However, that does not often stop clubs for making offers to buy players from other clubs.
The latest reports in England and Spain suggest that Arsenal have opened talks for Abdallah Sima.
The Senegal international was signed by Slavia Prague in August 2020 from MAS Táborsko for a fee of 115,000 euros. The 19-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
The forward has featured in 29 matches for Slavia this term, netting 19 goals and providing 5 assists in all competitions.
The 19-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Senegal.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
The Gunners are looking to sign a forward and have identified the 19-year-old as potential transfer target.
The report claims that Arsenal manager has extensively scouted Sima and is considering a move for the forward.
Arsenal will have funds to spend in the market and it will be interesting to see how they approach the summer transfer window.
The Senegal international will offer the Arsenal boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.
According to the report, “Arsenal have begun negotiations with Slavia Prague regarding young forward Abdallah Sima. The 19-year-old has shown fantastic quality this season, and is now being linked to top clubs around Europe. And according to TodoFichajes, the Gunners will be hoping to steal a march on some other teams with quick negotiations for Sima. The London club could pay up to €15 million for the forward. If he does arrive, he may be a possible replacement for Alexandre Lacazette, who may move on at the end of the season.”

Slavia Prague are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the forward, but offers of at least 15 million euros may force the club to consider a deal.

It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.
Abdallah Sima is still quite young and he will only get better with experience. He would be a good long term investment for Arsenal.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Arsenal.
