Arsenal linked with surprise move for PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa
Arsenal are reportedly one of many clubs keeping tabs on France international Layvin Kurzawa.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Arsenal are linked with surprise move for Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa.
The 25-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The France international joined Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco for a fee in the region of 25 million euros in August 2015. His contract expires in the summer of 2020.
Kurzawa has played 79 times for Paris Saint-Germain since signing from Monaco, scoring 11 goals and creating 16 assists in that time.
The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in France.
Layvin Kurzawa has represented France at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 15 caps and scoring three goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2014. As a member of France national football team, Layvin Kurzawa won 11 caps and he scored one goal.
Arsenal are in the market for a new left-back when the transfer window reopens.
The London ginats have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
Arsenal will be desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
According to Teamtalk (via Metro and RMC), “Arsenal have reportedly joined Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign out-of-favour PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa. The Gunners are already looking at transfer targets for next season despite so far failing to announce who Arsene Wenger’s successor at The Emirates will be. And Metro, via RMC claims that Kurzawa is high on the list, given his ability to play as a full-back or wing-back. The 25-year-old is reportedly being lined-up to replace Sead Kolasinac, who has struggled to impress since making a free transfer move from Schalke last summer.”

Paris Saint-Germain are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the left-back, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Arsenal.
How strong that interest is and whether Arsenal will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
