Arsenal keen on Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma

The latest reports in England suggest that Arsenal are keen on Brighton and Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma.
The Japan international joined Brighton and Hove Albion from Kawasaki Frontale for a fee in the region of 3 million euros in August 2021. He is under contract at Brighton until the summer of 2025.
The winger has found the back of the net on seven occasions and picked up two assists in 20 matches this season across various competitions. He is considered to be one of the best wingers in Japan. Mitoma has also left his mark at the international stage after netting five goals in 13 senior appearances for the Japan national team.
Kaoru Mitoma will be high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Brighton and Hove Albion this term.
Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new winger and Mitoma is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The Arsenal manager has been impressed by his performances this season and could make a move this summer.

Mitoma’s deal on the South Coast runs until 2025 and Roberto De Zerbi will be desperate to keep hold of him. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been keen to bolster his attack and could view Mitoma as similar in style to Mykhailo Mudryk, who eventually signed for Chelsea despite Arsenal’s attempts. The club have been keeping a close eye on Brighton talent, having already signed Leandro Trossard in January for £27million. Arsenal also saw bids rejected for central midfielder Moises Caicedo.”

Arsenal will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Brighton to the negotiating table. The Gunners have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.
