Arsenal join the hunt for Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans
Arsenal are join the hunt for Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media.
Youri Tielemans has joined Anderlecht from Anderlecht U17 in July 2013. The 19 year-old has a valid contract with Anderlecht until the June 2020.
After his arrival from Anderlecht U17, Youri Tielemans has scored 34 goals and provided 26 assists in 171 games for Anderlecht, including 17 goals and 10 assists in 39 games in all competition this season.
Youri Tielemans has also represented Belgium at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-21 level, winning 28 caps across all age groups and scoring 16 goals. Since November 2016, Tielemans is a member of Belgium national football team, winning two caps.
The 19-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Belgium.
Youri Tielemans has been long term target of Arsène Wenger as the manager look to bolster his midfield options for the next season.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Anderlecht valuate their midfielder Youri Tielemans in the region of 20 million euros.
Arsenal aren’t the only ones who are reportedly interested in the 19-year-old. Roma are also thought to be tracking him.
