Arsenal interested in Che Adams

Arsenal appear to have a genuine interest in signing Che Adams this summer.

The latest reports in England suggest that Arsenal are interested in Birmingham City striker Che Adams.

The 22-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.

The England international joined Birmingham City from Sheffield United for a fee in the region of 2.2 million euros in August 2016. His contract expires in the summer of 2022.

Adams has played 109 times for Birmingham City since signing from Sheffield United, scoring 35 goals and creating 12 assists in that time.

The 22-year-old is a great talent, almost always reliable when played.

Che Adams has represented England at Under-20 level, winning two caps.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Arsenal.

Unai Emery is looking to shore up his attacking options and Birmingham City’s Che Adams happens to be a target. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.

According to Daily Cannon, “Arsenal sent scouts to watch Birmingham City striker Che Adams on Tuesday, with the 22-year-old in fantastic form since the turn of the year. The Mirror claim representatives from Arsenal, Celtic, Watford and Manchester United were all at St Andrew’s on Tuesday night to watch Birmingham City face Bolton. Adams was looking to make history at the club by scoring in his seventh consecutive league game, but unfortunately, he was denied a goal in the dying seconds of the match. Nonetheless, the striker still has eight goals in eight games in all competitions in 2019, and he’s earning all the interest from higher divisions. In his Championship campaign overall, he has 19 goals and four assists in 32 matches (29 starts). Burnley tried to sign him in the last transfer window, but their offer of £9m was rejected as Birmingham wanted twice that amount. Now, Adams’ price is likely to have been increased even further by his recent form. Arsenal already have two top quality strikers in the present, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who have carried the team’s attack for large portions of this season. However, it’s starting to seem pretty likely Danny Welbeck will leave at the end of the season and Eddie Nketiah will go on loan in the 2019/20 campaign.”

If Arsenal are genuinely interested, a deal would not be impossible to complete.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Arsenal come calling for Che Adams this summer.
