Ajax to make firm offer for Manchester United left-back Daley Blind
According to the football transfer rumours in Netherlands, Ajax will make firm offer for Manchester United left-back Daley Blind.
Daley Blind has joined Manchester United from Ajax for a fee in the region of 17.5 million euros in September 2014. The 27 year-old has a valid contract with Manchester United until June 2018.
Since his arrival from Ajax, Daley Blind has scored five goals and provided eight assists in 115 games for Manchester United, including one goal and provided two assists in 30 games in all competitions this season.
The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in Netherlands.
Daley Blind has represented Netherlands at Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 55 caps and scoring three goals, before making his senior international debut in February 2013. As a member of Netherlands national football team, Blind has won 42 caps and score two goals.
The Netherlands international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last few seasons, and it is understood that Ajax manager Peter Bosz would prefer playing him as a left-back or centre-back.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Daley Blind has huge competition from Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw for the left-back position and he could move back to his former club in the summer transfer window.
How strong that interest is and whether Ajax will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
