AC Milan set to sign Marseille winger Lucas Ocampos
Marseille winger Lucas Ocampos has emerged as a surprise target for AC Milan in the January transfer window.
AC Milan are looking set to land Lucas Ocampos after Italian Media revealed that they are in advanced negotiations with Marseille and Genoa ahead of a potential move before 31st of January 2017.
Lucas Ocampos has joined Marseille from Monaco for a fee in the region of 7.5 million euros in 2015. The 22 year-old has a valid contract with Marseille until June 2020.
Since his arrival from Monaco, Ocampos has scored six goals and provided three assists in 39 games for Marseille.
This season the Argentina international was loaned to Genoa, where he has scored three goals in 17 games in all competition this season.
Ocampos has also represented Argentina at Under-15 and Under-17 level, winning 12 caps across all age groups and scoring 5 goals.
The Argentina international has been a target of Vincenzo Montella as the manager looks to bolster his attacking options for the second part of the season.
Euro Football Rumours were informed that AC Milan will pay around €500,000 to Genoa to take him on a six-month loan.
