AC Milan poised to land Peter Ankersen
AC Milan are planning a move for Peter Ankersen.
It’s claimed by Italian media that AC Milan are poised to land FC Copenhagen right-back Peter Ankersen.
The 28-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Denmark international joined Copenhagen from Red Bull Salzburg.
Ankersen made 175 appearances across all competitions for FC Copenhagen, scoring 9 goals and supplying 36 assists in return.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Denmark. As a member of Denmark national football team, Ankersen won 25 caps and he scored one goal.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Milan.
Marco Giampaolo wants to sign a new right-back and Peter Ankersen is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The report claims that Milan manager has extensively scouted Ankersen and is considering a move for the right-back.
Milan are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
According to Football Italia, “Milan have reportedly set their sights on Danish right-back Peter Ankersen, who is available from FC Copenhagen for €2m. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the experienced Denmark international is their latest candidate for the right side of defence. He turns 29 in September and is only under contract until the end of this season. The cost of signing Ankersen would therefore be in the region of €2m. There is also believed to be interest from some Premier League clubs.”

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Milan.
